About Via Capri

My Story

Via Capri Lifestyle Catering sprung from the desire to bring good health, through good food and exercise to good people.

As a Personal Chef and Endurance athletics coach, I enjoy tailoring culinary and exercise options to cater to each of my clients' lifestyle.

Most people know that good health is a combination of exercising and eating right, but struggle on where to start or make the time.

Diet + Exercise = Your Greatest Self

With busy schedules, demanding jobs, and hours long commutes it's hard to find time to make and prepare healthy meals and squeeze in a run or trip to the gym.  Do you need someone to workout along side you? or do you like to receive a training plan to follow?

Scheduling time to work out or prepare healthy meals can fall to the side with carpools, commutes, kid's sports and demanding careers.

Tired of feeling like you have to chose between spending time with your kids, or fixing them a healthy meal?  Would you like personal cooking lessons?  Would you like ready to eat meals for your family?

We tailor our diet and exercise services to help you reach your wellness goals.

Together we can identify the best combination of diet and exercise that works for you and fits into your lifestyle.

Imagine if we could bring workouts and healthy meals to you?  Via Capri's Lifestyle Catering means catering to your lifestyle and your needs.

My Story

Sports were my focus growing up; running in particular.  My mom used to send me out to run around the house - literally.  She would pay me a penny for every lap I ran around our farm house, just trying to burn off all my endless kid-energy.

I ran in college, and then fell in love with Triathlon.  You can read more about my triathlon journey at www.kylehummel.com. Along that journey, I met my wife, a fellow triathlete. Due to her thyroid

issues and preferences ("I don't cook, I bake"), she ate a fairly limited diet (Gluten-lite and Dairy-lite).  She also traveled thousands of miles a year, and has eaten some really crazy things.  Her experiences expanded my "palate".

In order to fuel my semi-professional triathlete training, I had been focused on volume and quantity of food to sustain my training. She brought healthier alternatives and suggestions to my cooking; and I enjoyed learning about how to modify my cooking to accomodate her requests.

In 2014, after winning my age group World Championship 70.3 Ironman, I realized I wanted to pursue my love of cooking and my love of sports to help other people achieve their health goals.  In 2015, I completed Cullinary School and my externship in early 2016, I was able to launch Via Capri Lifestyle Catering.
